Welcome to the FIRST installment of Austin Keen’s Celebrity Surf Series (CSS) Spotlight, a blog series where we break down individual episodes of AK’s famous Youtube series. For our inaugural CSS Spotlight Blog, we’re going to take a look at Austin Keen’s day out on the boat with none other than New York Giants Defensive End, Leonard Williams.

If you’ve been living under a rock, then you may not know that former sixth overall draft pick, Leonard Williams is coming off of his best NFL season to date for the New York Giants. With a massive performance in his contract year, Leonard is sure to make huge waves in the free agency market this offseason.
Speaking of waves, let’s rewind back to when Williams spent the day on AK’s Mastercraft wakesurf boat to show that even linemen can learn to wakesurf.
This episode surely set the record for largest board used on Celebrity Surf Series. After a few warm-up runs, AK and the team decided that they were going to need to upgrade Williams to an 8-foot board (that still didn’t look very big next to Williams). The board upgrade proved to be just the trick they needed as the lineman was cruising the wake in no time.
Williams picked up wakesurfing pretty quickly. Maybe because he’s got some experience on a board from when AK taught him to skimboard over a year ago. Football, wakesurfing, and skimboarding… Did someone say 3-sport athlete?

Since AK was nice enough to teach Williams about his craft, Williams returned the favor by dropping the shoulder on Keen and showing his text-book tackling form that;s gotten him so far in the NFL.
This was no doubt one of the most impressive episodes of CSS in the first two seasons of the series. Teaching someone to wakesurf is hard enough, but a 6’5, 310-pound man-beast? This is a video you won’t want to miss.
Consider this an alert to all NFL GM’s: Sign this man before he takes his talents to the water!
Stay tuned into the AK blog series as we continue to break down AK’s most popular video content, including more of his Celebrity Surf Series episodes. Until then, be sure to follow AK on Instagram and subscribe to his Youtube channel to help us reach 100k subscribers!
